At Sankofa Educational Consulting LLC, we believe that transformative change in education begins with meaningful dialogue and intentional practice. We offer speaking engagements, professional development, and workshops designed to inspire and equip school districts, organizations, educators, leaders, and decision-makers.
Through the Inquiry Design Model (IDM), we introduce practical frameworks that spark curiosity, guide students in analyzing primary sources, wrestle with multiple perspectives, and connect the past to today’s civic issues and social justice work. Educators also explore the Sankofa philosophy—looking back to move forward—as a guide for meaningful instruction.
Together, we address strategies for overcoming fear and hesitation in teaching complex histories, while building step-by-step approaches to create thoughtful, age-appropriate, and engaging lessons. Our goal is to spark reflection, drive innovation, and support sustained improvement across learning communities.
